Effective training in residential care must translate directly into improved practice.
Generic workshops that sit outside the daily realities of the home rarely lead to sustained change.
Abacus Therapeutics delivers applied, context-specific training designed to embed therapeutic thinking into everyday care and strengthen inspection confidence.

A structured training needs assessment can be undertaken at the outset of our involvement to identify existing strengths, gaps in knowledge or confidence, and priority areas for workforce development aligned with the home’s therapeutic model and inspection objectives.
Core areas of training
Trauma & Attachment
Trauma and attachment in practice, including attachment theory, neurodevelopmental trauma, and structured application of PACE principles, with refresher sessions available to strengthen relational consistency across teams.
